The Wessel was built as a supply vessel for Sub Marines and MTB and has been used as reserve Frigate and School vessel until now!
The Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation/Surplus Material
Management have for sale "ex KNM Horten" The vessels is now
released for commercial sale and can
be sold to the civilian market.
The Norwegian
Ministry of foreing Affairs has concluded the 16 of November
2009 that KNM Horten can be sold on the open market, without
any constraints relating to the "Law of Export Control". In
other words this vessel can be sold without any limitation with
regards to export.
The vessel was build as a supply vessel for Sub marines and
Missil Torpedo Boats and has also been used as school vessel
for the Navy and as a reserve Frigat.
